Our Senior Care Assistants are leaders who promote, supervise and ensure that high standards of care are provided at all times by the care team. They ensure our standards of professional practice are maintained.
They make sure policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the homes and help to create a warm and friendly environment.
Senior Care Assistants are mentors for Care Assistants. As Key Workers for individuals, they work closely with our nurses to provide outstanding care. They are educated to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have at least three years’ experience.
They lead small teams on shift and are responsible for administering medication and assisting and providing support with personal care activities. They help to maintain accurate records and support ongoing training.
Senior Care Assistants are responsible for:
- Maintaining the health and well-being of service users and ensuring that all of their needs are met.
- Making sure that all documentation is completed to evidence the care given.
