Our Senior Care Assistants are leaders who encourage, oversee and ensure the high standards of care provided consistently by the care team at Smithy Bridge Court. They safeguard our standards of professional practice, ensuring they are maintained and mentor Care Assistants.
They ensure policies and procedures are followed throughout our home and help create a warm and friendly environment.
As Key Workers for our ladies and gentlemen, they work closely with our nursing team to provide outstanding care. Senior Care Assistants are educated to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have at least three years of experience.
They manage small teams on shift and are in charge of administering medication and providing support with personal care activities. They help to maintain accurate records and support ongoing training and development.
Senior Care Assistants are responsible for:
- Maintaining the health and well-being of those we care for and ensuring that their individual needs are met.
- Ensuring all documentation is completed to evidence the care given
