Our Occupational Therapist takes a holistic or “whole person approach,” empowering individuals to overcome barriers caused by illness, accidents or ageing to enable them to carry out everyday activities.

The Occupational Therapist assess the individual’s physical, psychological, social and environmental needs to encourage them to keep their independence and identity.

They also create an enabling environment to encourage participation in meaningful and purposeful activity, advising our team on the requirements to maximise safety and independence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring everyone is being encouraged to engage in activities individually and communally.
  • Looking at the best ways to support people with their mobility and maintenance of their daily living skills.
  • Providing specialist advice for seating and equipment.
