Rebekah joined Towerview Care in November 2018 and has been a qualified nurse for four years. For three years, she has worked in elderly care, specifically dementia care.
Rebekah says: “Nursing was a natural path for me; I grew up hearing my grandma talk about her job as a Mental Health Nurse. I have personally experienced dementia within my own family, so I know how it feels.
“Outside work, I enjoy reading a good book, completing crochet and cross stitches and meeting up with friends and family.”
Our highly qualified nurses are responsible for:
- Ensuring care plans reflect the clinical nursing care that is needed for individuals and are updated at least monthly.
- Administering medication, ordering and booking in drugs.
- Liaison with external agencies such as GP and social workers.
- Liaison with families.
- Taking charge of the shift and ensuring all tasks are complete.
Our highly qualified and dementia trained nurses work with the people we support, their families and professionals. The nurses provide support, expert guidance and practical solutions. The dementia expertise our nurses offer helps families and those we support to live more positively with dementia, mental health issues and associated behaviours.
